I posted on one of the other boards but figured I would in here as well. Any help is more than appreciated.
Just curious if any one has ever made an album using snapfish. I'm trying to make a hardcover memory book with my e-pics. I've gotten pictures printed on there with no problem in the past but i've never tried to do an album.
It says low resolution not recommended. Does that mean that my pictures are low res or just that they aren't recommended?
What's your experience using it????How did the album come out??
Thanks!

Re: Experience with Snapfish??
i just ordered a few epics from shutterfly myself that said low resolution last week. They should be arriving either today or tomorrow so if you wait I'll let you know how poorly they really do come out.

I'm sure they came out great!!!! You're pix are really nice!
Did you scan them in or did you already have them on the computer?
Let me know when you find out, that would be a BIG help!!!

First off thank you
secondly, I edited them from the cd that was given to us from the photographer with the pictures on it but because I copied and pasted and saved it as a jpeg and what not the resolution on the was apparently not up to par which is why it gave me the alert that they shouldn't be printed.
I will definitely let you know how they come out though!

I didn't do mine from a CD and i'm debating on asking them if we can get one now that i'm hearing all of this. I scanned ours in from the sheet. There was 6 on a page so I cropped them. I think it has the right resolution but i'm not certain.
I'm not sure if it usually says something about low resolution. When I went too print as if I were just ordering a 4x6 it didn't say anything. It only said on the album screen.

be careful about requesting them on CD because they might protect them like my photographer did so that you can't print them without a lot of hassel.

Thats what basically happened. Originally they put the pictures up on Pictage. I saw them on there and they had a watermark on it. It was really hard to see what the pix actually looked like plus, you can't save the pictures from there. It won't let you right click or anything.
I quickly said something to the photographer and they assured me the proofs would not be like that. I thought I would be getting the proofs in 4x6 format but that wasn't the case. They gave it to me in a nice spiral book format. I took the pix from here to make my album but i'm not sure 100% about the resolution. I think they should be fine since I saved them as 300 pixels. I've printed out digital pictures from snapfish in the past no problems. The pictures don't say anything about low resolution at all when I go in. They normally do. Thats why I think I should be ok.
I want to be able to order something by Friday. The coupon offer is over on the 30th and i'll be away for the weekend so I want to take advantage of it while I can.
People are probably so sick of me talking about my pictures....LOL..I'm just so vain I guess/

lol nah you're not vain. I've been the same way with mine. I feel your pain because I also want to get in on that sale on the photo books but I haven't had the chance to play around with the pictures.
I borrowed photoshop from FH's brother and I'm going to see if I can do anything about the resolution by using that. Hopefully I'll get to do that tonight but we'll see!

I'm so vain, I probably think this post is about me.
I used photoshop as well to do the pictures because it gives you the options of resizing the pictures. I think thats the same as changing the DPI but i'm not certain its all sooooo confusing. I just wanted my pictures and didn't want to spend an extra $200 on them. It's crazy.
I got an email for Photobook or something else, its a 2 for 1 offer right? I was thinking about doing that for the wedding pictures so we could give our grandmothers an album.

I looked at mypublisher and I think that it was more expensive than snapfish. Even with the 50% off
I thought it said $40 on MP. Snapfish was $15 for basically the same thing.
