I am going to have my hair done by my longtime hairdresser who is now working out of Explosion. I have a large bridal party and will have Evelyn, my hairdresser, come to the house w. another hairdresser, and am looking for any recommendations. I am also condidering having my makeup done there, so any feedback/recommendations there would be great. Thanks!

I would Def say Anna...
I don't like her persay bc she is nasty but she does work like no other..
Make up there, I know they have 2 ladies.. I am using Joanne for my e party makeup . I will let you know how she does..
I go to Laurie at C'Marino ..
She does SLAMMINg work and I love her!

Anna did my hair, my mom's hair and my SIL's for my wedding. She also did my mom's for my brother's weddings. My mom gets her hair done normally by Savario in this shop and he is great but doesn't do updos. They say Anna's the best for wedding hair.
The girl to Anna's left (when facing the mirrors) did my MOH's hair. The girl directly across from her did my cousin's hair (the only one wo does corn rows). (sorry don't have names)
Everyone was happy with their hair. I am sure you have seen my millions of pictures (to get an idea of what was done).

I am going there for my hair and makeup Joanne is doing my makeup My trial came out GREAT and Liz is doing my hair she is who I go to regularly for my hair
My wedding is in less then 2 weeks so I will post after honeymoon how it went
all my girls are going too

Thanks for the feedback ladies, I am going to call and make an appt to get my hair cut on Thurs. When I am there, I will try and meet w. Anna and Joanne. Theresa and Berlykim, please let me know how your hair/makeup goes. For those that used Explosion, did they come to your house? I grew up in HB, but live about 40 min away now, and want them to come to my house on the day of the wedding. Also, can you give me an idea of cost? You can FM me if its easier. Thanks!

I never inquired about them coming to my house. My mom lives in Ozone Park and that is where I got ready - 5 minutes away. SO I did everything in the shop.
I didn't have the best experience with my makeup trial and Joann. She is was very nice and at first I liked it esp. my eyes but but the end of the day the eye makeup ran and the face makeup did not last. I had to reapply blush - cause I felt I looked pale only a couple hours later. I felt bad not going with her because she was very nice to me but I am glad I didn't I found someone I like dmuch better an dcame to my home.
