I'm going sat to order ny dress from Kleinfelds!!! my consultant suggested getting a cathedral veil instead of extending the train bc that's an extra $150 for 6 inches. Here's a pic of the dress...honest opinions please....

Are you going to wear the veil the whole time? Bc if so you can't bustle it. Plus if you extend dress for reception it will be bustled so if it's that much more it may not be worth it. These are things to think of

I think the veil is beautiful, but the dress doesn't look like it has a train at all. I'd probably extend the train.

That's EXACTLY what I said and she suggested 'extending' it with a veil. I didn't love the idea but I figured let me think about it.

I'd extend the train personally... because if you get an ornate cathedral veil for length, you'll just be covering the beautiful train- And most people take their veils off pretty much right after the ceremony and pics so I think you'll get more for your money if you extend the train

That I didn't think of....to.have a train I'd have to wear the veil at least if I extend the train I'll have a train in pics without a veil!! THANKS!! I.think that just made my decision!!

no prob :) and you can get a simple shorter veil at Barron's or someplace like that for cheaper to make up for the additional train cost!

I'm gonna use my experience because I've always wanted a train. They told me the cathedral veil will do because once the ceremony and pics are done, the dress will be bustled anyway. Sooo I am hoping this suffices. However, I secretly wish I had a train... I'm pretty sure mine would be way over $150 though soooo budget it out I guess babe.

If you do end up getting a veil from Barron's, he can make a bustle for a cathedral length veil. I ordered a cathedral veil from him and its getting bustled. I'm planning to wear it as long as I can throughout the night :)

I'm all about having a train. When else can you have a train on a gown. I got a four foot train made for my dress so I'm biased! Go for it and save money on the veil like cets1290 suggested

I vote train too! Even though I know it gets bustled after a little while I think the bustle looks so pretty too.
