extended families met last night!!

FMIL made Easter dinner last night, and invited my family over...it was so nice. Our parents have met before, but last night my parents met FH's sister and uncle. I was a little nervous because our families are very different- he's Italian, and his mom is very overprotective and his dad is quite- my father is very loud and opinionated and parents are very into letting my bro and I be independant- but it went great! FMIL really went out of her way making antipasta and three other courses, and my parents stayed at his house from about 3 to 10:30 and volunteered to miss Sopranos (that's a real sacrifice!)

I'm so excited that my parents invited them over for dinner in a few weeks--they seem to be getting along so well, and it makes me so happy!

Aww Im so glad they got along and it went well for you! Funny thing is that Fh's aunt invited my parents over last night also and my parents met his extended family as well (cousins, aunts, uncles) it went well for me too and I was very nervous about it
