Im meeting with my venue next week about adding 30 min to the CH so we can take pics after the ceremony...For any of the brides doing this how much extra did they charge you? if it wasn't included. TIA!!

If you already signed your contract chances are you will be charges. I am being charged $400. I think it is worth it since we are getting married at the RH and not seeing eachother before the ceremony!

The average price was around $3 extra pp... Our RH threw it in for free. Regardless however, the extra money would have been worth it to us, we just happened to get lucky

TY...I didnt know that this was an option until after we signed the contract ..I actually learned about it here on the forums...FH was kinda excited about it so he dont miss the CH..I just wanted to have a ball park figure of what other venues charge so I have some bargining
And i completly agree its well worth the $!!

Mine doesnt offer it. What they do offer is a twilight wedding which bumps the price up from 110pp to 155pp!

WOW!!! thats alot...the only problem that may arise is if they book a event before us then the guys cannot get there early to do pics but if we have have an extended CH it will not matter.

Yeah- we lucked out that it was a flat rate. unless it would have been anywhere from 600- 700 oppose to the 400! luckily we are the earlier party. The other wedding if there is one will start there coctail hour at 8!

To add an extra half hour at my hall it was $5 extra per head. Our BM told us she didn't think it was worth it and that people get 'antsy' after an hour because we are creatures of habit. Who knows....

I guess the guests could get 'antsy' but the majority of out guests we will be takings pics with as we are having a small wedding...and if they do too bad..lol

Yeah- i'm not worried about my guest getting ansy.... they will be drinking and eating-- plus the coctail hour is inside and outside and there will be so many family from out of state there to catch up with everyone it will be fine!! Let me know how it turns out!

to extend our CH an extra 1/2 hour it would be an extra $6pp, which would roughly amount to $850

Hmm; this is something i'm considering. FH & I are getting married at the RH. And we're both adamant about not seeing each other before the ceremony. BUT we want to be able to enjoy your CH too or at least not be rushed to take pictures in only 1 hour.
I haven't signed a contract yet; but I will discuss the possibilty of adding this on. I'd love the guests to be able to go right into the CH; or even take their time taking pictures with out being rushed. I love CH food!!! So this is a great idea for me!!

Most people show up late to CH.. I know from experience cause I'm always late so half the time I get one plate, sit down and it's suddenly over and I can't get my second plate, lol.. I love the extended cause then those people who show up a half hr late can still have a nice full CH
I agree. We're ALWAYS late bc my Fh cant get anywhere on time!

The extended CH comes standard with my hall as well, which is prefect for me because our ceremony is not on site, which means OOT's get lost in between or they wander around too long, and it's nice to know they won't miss anything if they are a little late! If it weren't included, I DEF would have looked into adding it. Maybe see if you can get it at a reduced rate...it doesnt hurt to try!

i don't think we got charged extra for it...otherwise it's built into the price and we didn't know. our BM just asked us if we wanted to do an hour or 1.5 hrs, we said 1.5 and he jotted it down. no $$ was listed on the contract for it, so i'm hoping it was free lol
