i actually asked our RH to throw that in right before we signed so it wasn't extra for us

I really have to look into this before i sign my contract. I love the idea of the extra time!
Does this work though for a daytime wedding?? I don't want to cut into my reception time. I'm not sure if they'd be willing to extend the 1/2 hour knowing there's an event later that evening...

it depends on the RH. Land's end wont do it. the only option w them is to change it to a twilight wedding which eliminates the other event after and costs 45 extra person. THEN you can extend it and I'm sure they charge for it.

Most people show up late to CH.. I know from experience cause I'm always late so half the time I get one plate, sit down and it's suddenly over and I can't get my second plate, lol.. I love the extended cause then those people who show up a half hr late can still have a nice full CH
I hope they are not late im getting married there too!!

Hmm; this is something i'm considering. FH & I are getting married at the RH. And we're both adamant about not seeing each other before the ceremony. BUT we want to be able to enjoy your CH too or at least not be rushed to take pictures in only 1 hour.
I haven't signed a contract yet; but I will discuss the possibilty of adding this on. I'd love the guests to be able to go right into the CH; or even take their time taking pictures with out being rushed. I love CH food!!! So this is a great idea for me!!
I would def bring it up then before you sign...we are in the same boat andwe dont want to see each other first.
