ok so i know that we are all on a budget since we're speding crazy money on our weddings.
i recently saw a show called 'extreme couponing' where these people were crazy about coupons and would watch for sales of certain items and had zillions of coupons to go with them.
one lady's bill was $1,175 and after coupons, she paid $50! another lady's bill was $600something and she paid $2!!!!!
even my FH (who NEVER pays attention to prices) was like 'we have to get in on this!!'
so ladies, do any of you know where to look for coupons online? any good websites?
or are any of you extreme couponers??

i saw this show too...but these women are crazy...coupons are their life, they literally 'stalk' all stores for sales. they sign up for e-mail, subscriptions, etc...
and the women in the show are not from new york, they are allowed to use multiple coupons...you cant really do that here.

Re: extreme couponing
lol i know they were kinda extreme, especially the one jumping in the dumpsters with her toddler son to find the flyers. also, who needs a million sticks of deodorant or a 5 year supply of pasta?
although, i did like the guy who 'bought' a ton of cereal for free and then donated them all to a food bank.
but i thought if i could do some 'couponing' at a minimal level...it might save me some $$$.
they also went to stores that double coupons and i dont know of any store that does that.
so really im just looking for a few good websites to print coupons from, or stores that might double coupons.
thanks!!!

Re: extreme couponing
My dad always gets free coupons, but I have no idea how he does it. I do know, however, that he is constantly swiping the Sunday paper before I get my hands on it so that he can take out the coupon section. Some grocery stores have double coupons, which is great.
I know it's not free, but I was getting razors pretty cheap. I had a coupon for a few dollars off a razor (one each for girl/guy). So, I bought 2 at Target for maybe $7-9 on sale, then used my coupns and got a $5 gift card back. I kept doing back and using the gift card. Some cost me $2.00, while others would cost maybe $.50. It was such a good savings for me because I hate dull razors!

Re: extreme couponing
retailmenot.com has a few coupons
we also get the local paper that has coupons in them, but unfortunately you can only use one coupon at time which sucks

Re: extreme couponing
i love couponssss lol.. if theres a store you like sign up for emails. For clothes express is the best place for coupons. They always have the spend 50 pay 25 coupons. For xmas my FH dad gave him a gift card, he bought a 250 jacket on sale for 175 and then we used those 50$ coupons the jacket came out to like 50. If your buying online you can always google coupons or the bottom of receipts always have some offer

Re: extreme couponing
I have an APP on my phone called 'the coupons APP'... it literally updates everyday with all coupons to different stores etc. It is amazing and I don't even have to print anything out- I just show my phone at the store.

Re: extreme couponing
To get those kind of deals you have to make coupons your full time job. Plus you need multiple copies of the same coupon.
For example one lady went dumpster diving for circulars while another lady went door to door collecting circulars.
However, sometimes I do this on a small scale. One time I got ricotta cheese for free because it was on sale for 99 cents and I had a 50 cent coupon which was doubled.
Key is to always buy on sale!

Re: extreme couponing
FH is a coupon wh*re! He does all the grocery shopping for the house. I bought him a coupon organizer and he is just so cute! He calls me as soon as he leaves the store telling me how much he spent and how much he saved. He mostly clips coupons from Sunday paper. The larger grocery stores double coupons up to a dollar. A penny saved is a penny earned!

Re: extreme couponing
i joined ebates.com
you get a % cash back for online shopping and they have many coupons on there too.
also, retailmenot.com
and if your cc has a cash back program, you could get double cash back.
