Eyebrow Waxing - When

My wedding is in two weeks from this Saturday. When would be a 'safe' time to get my eyebrows waxed??? Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you ever gotten them waxed before? i get mine waxed about 2 days before i need to go somehwere, because the swelling or any allergic reaction will be gone by then..If you live in Nassau i recommend this place called CLEAR SKIN.. the russian lady is awesome. i never get any reaction and she does great waxing!

if you've never gotten them shaped before then maybe you should go within the next few days so that if it's a little uneven they'll have time to grow in. A few days before the wedding you could go again for a touch up. i always get very red so i'm going to go more than 2 days before.

Have you ever done this before?? I have VERY sensitive skin and started doing it last year. the first time it was very swollen (underarms i mean) i think 3 or four days is definatly enough time to have the swelling go down..as soon as i go home i put a little clinque dramatically different moisturizer on them and a little ice and that works like a charm..but the only downside to doing your armpits is that you have to grow them LONG...or they wont do it.. I never got swollen or a rash from the bikini waxing though.

I get red too, but when they are shaped nicely, you can look at them each day and pluckt he stray or new hairs yourself...

You probalby won't have time to grow them in in 2 weeks. If you come into the city go to Eliza's Eyes at Avon Salon http://www.avoncompany.com/eliza/. They're one of the best place to get eyebrows done - anywhere. The woman who runs the place is apparently an eyebrow shaping legend. They're expensive ($45), but if you want shaping, I'd recommend going there.

I would go to a spa type of place. There is the Green Tree Spa in Manhasset or Estee Lauder. They do eyebrow shaping there. It may cost about $20 but they do a good job. If you go now the redness will go away and you can clean them up as the grow in with tweezers.
