I wear eyeglasses and can't see without them. I can't wear contacts cause I have a very bad astigmatism. Does anyone have any suggestions? I think the glasses will look ok in my pictures but would look better without them. And it will be a pain to take them on and off for the journalistic pics that will be taken. Any suggestions??

I'm almost in the same boat. I have a bad astigmatism with an axis, whatever that means. I tried to put contacts in and I was dizzy after I finally got them in because they gave me such a headache!!
Is lasik surgery an option? Or have you gone to another eye doctor? I would get a second opinion about the contacts, however I was told it would take a few months to get used to it.

I would get a second opinion about the contacts. My mother has just a terrible astigmatism as well, and she was able to wear contacts for a short amount of time (no more than 8 hours)...she now has gotten Lasik and she's set to go.
If you don't want/can't get Lasik...I'd definitely consider seeing another doctor. They've come a very long way in contacts and have developed one for patients like yourself.

They do have contacts for astigmatism....im going to look into them as well...
Both of us wear glasses, which we need to see...we are both going the contact route...just for the wedding

i just had lasik done about two months ago and i have astigmatism i wouldn't recommend it unless you were getting married months from now though, the recovery time is long, i still am seeing blurry but that's normal.

I have an astigmatism in both eyes and have really expensive contacts for them , so you might be able to get some....
But as for your glasses in wedding pictures....if you always wear glasses, why wouldn't you want them for your wedding pictures? Peabody had them on in some of her pictures and she looked adorable! and like her real self

I want my wedding gift for my FH is to get him the laser surgery for his eyes. hes blind as a bat without his glasses. I would like to see him toss them away at our wedding!

I wear toric lenses for a slight astigmatism. You might be able to find something that will be comfortable for you.
