Hi ladies, anyone have any experience getting their eyelashes dyed?? Im thinking about it... does it spread out your lashes too? My lashes have trouble curling and separating nicely- so Im wondering if this would help. Also, can you recommend where you got them done? Thanks girls!

Re: Eyelashes Dyed?
i dont know if dying it will help with curling or separating them, i dont see how it would curl your lashes just by dying them. Plus i dont think id dye them period, i'd be scared with how close it is to your eye.
If you want it for wedding day, why dont you just get the individual lashes for day of, most make up artists will do this regardless. They will use lashes on you that are longer and curl a bit so will give you that effect.

Re: Eyelashes Dyed?
I went for an eye lash tinting at a spa and I would not suggest doing that right before your wedding. I wouldn't call my skin super sensitive, but shortly after she applied the dye I was getting a mild burning sensation. She told me that was normal but after it didn't go away I asked her to just take the stuff off. She wanted to reapply it since it needs to be on for at least a few minutes but I just opted not to. Afterwards I checked out my eyes in the mirror and my eyelids were red and puffy... I won't be trying that again anytime soon!

Re: Eyelashes Dyed?
i had my eyelashes dyed once and honestly it didn't make a difference. My lashes looked the same except they were black as opposed to my natural color blonde. The dye irritated my eyes and they itched pretty bad for the rest of the day. Like you i though it was going to make them look longer or have a curl to them, but no they looked the same.

I didn't even know you could do that!!! But my make up artist put the face ones on for me... Not the strip of fake ones but added a couple individual ones here and there It made a difference and looked natural. Easy to take off too.

I would recommend a false eyelash on DOW instead of dyeing them, or individuals or even a partial false lash. I know someone who was very blond and when she dyed her lashes it just looked weird.
Oh wow really???? Thanks ladies for letting me know! It s just that I have such a hard time with my eyelashes. My right eye is sooooooooooo difficult!!!!!!!! The lashes never want to separate, and if they do- its for like an hour only.... UGH its so frustrating that I never want to do my mascara anymore
Do you ladies know more info on adding some fake lashes? How long does it last? How much does it cost?

I had mine applied on Friday (check my makeup trial album) from MAC. They were only $12 and are reusable. Mine are only a half lash (click here) but they have a million different kinds.

EVERY single time ive had make up done for a big event they always just put on the fake individual lashes. Most never even charged extra for it, mine didnt for day of, she just did it. ANd even did it for trial. If you booked make up already i would just ask her to see if she provides it, which she should, whether for free or charging a price for it. If you didnt book already, i would wait until you book somebody and then wait to ask her.

i worked for an eye doctor for 6 years and we once had a patient come in after getting it done at a local spa...
her eyes were sooo red and puffy they were closed shut... we had to call an ambulance to send her to the hospital !!!

Re: Eyelashes Dyed?
I love dying my lashesand have done it so many times and I am super sensitive in the eye area. In Europe everybody does it and it is really not as dangerous as everybody claims. I love it because in the summer during the daytime, I do not even need mascara. It will not help curl your lashes though...just do it early enough before the wedding and you should be fine.
