Re: Face-off: Leonard's vs. Watermill
I'd pick Leonard's only because I went to my friends wedding at the Watermill two weeks ago & I personally thought the service wasn't too great. I mean when the bride leaves her own wedding in tears then you know something's wrong. But, the Watermill does have nice grounds. Best of luck!

haha was it really? Which episode?
I would also say Watermill just from pictures Ive seen- its more my taste, but as far as reviews go, they both seem to be good.

Definately Watermill! I have heard tons of great things about it and the grounds are beautiful. Not a big fan of Leonards personally.

Re: Face-off: Leonard's vs. Watermill
You would think I would bc my one and only sibling got married there (Leonards) but......naaaaah
And yes, in Fact Leonards was featured in the Sopranos...... last season the character Johnny Sac's daughter got married and there were several scenes with Tony and fam attending the over-the-top typical godfather-esque wedding at....low and behold....Leonards of Great Neck!!!!!

I've never been to Leonard's but I have been to watermill and thought it was great. I didn't have any problems with service. My parents recently went to a wedding there and loved it.

Re: Face-off: Leonard's vs. Watermill
We have our company holiday party at Leonards every year for the past 4 years. It is alright, not too crazy about it - i have to agree that it is kinda guido-ish.... i would say watermill, hands down, but it could be bc im getting married there next sat..
eta: i cant comment about the food at leonards because i usually drink alot, and dont eat..but, we always have it in that downstairs room, and it is beautiful

I got married at Leonard's and I loved it. The food is amazing there. As far as being guidoish I tend to disagree. l think the appropriate name would be elegant and classy.
As far as Watermill I heard it is a beautiful place but I also heard that the food is not too good!

Re: Face-off: Leonard's vs. Watermill
Lol well seems those who are getting married at the Watermill will say Watermill and those at Leonards will say Leonards...
I'm biased...I'm a Watermill Bride....never had a bad experience there and I've been to a few weddings over the years there...
I've never been to Leonards...but I do know from a friend who attended a wedding there last yr...that the MOB's fur coat was stolen out of the bridal suite....
