i heard from someone that your not supposed to get a facial a day before the wedding (cant remember why) but is it okay to do it a week (or 2 before)?
EDIT: i've been going once a month for years so i know the spa place is legit/safe... i just need to figure out when in my wedding month i should go... so far, 2 weeks is better???

Re: facial a week before the wedding...
If you normally get them and your face hasn't had any bad reactions, you should be okay to do one a week before the wedding.. But be sure you don't try any new products or techniques that you haven't before.. not worth the risk. Doing it 2 weeks before might just be better insurance against anything happening, and if you don't normally get them, I would say do it 3 weeks or more before the wedding, or not at all

I agree. I got a facial last year from a great place and broke out horribly and it didnt clear up for a week +. The last thing you want is pizz face for your wedding! I'm probably not even getting one for my wedding.

You shouldn't get it the day before. If you get extractions done, your face may be blotchy for a couple of days (mine usually is, but I have sensitive skin) I will be getting my facial a week and a half before.

Definitely go somewhere months in advance to see how your skin reacts and see how many days it takes for your face to calm down. Some people have great results within a few days, others (myself included) need at least a week to recover and start seeing the benefits.
Also, make sure you go to the same place and get the same facial/same products so your skin reacts the same way before the wedding.

I plan on doing monthly facials 6 months before the wedding with the last one being 2 weeks before. I'd be worried doing it any closer than that in case of a bad reaction.
