Does anyone know a good place to get a facial on the east end (or at least in Suffolk County)

she is on new york avenue in huntington across from chesterfields. i personally have not used her but the people who i know who have RAVE about her. Beware...facials doooooo hurt and sometimes your skin will get worse before it gets better, but they are soooo beneficial for you skin.
you can even do them yourself. wash your face. boil water and put it in a large bowl with a drop of lavender or rosemary essential oil. drape a towel and steam for 15 minutes. then do a green clay mask for about 15 minutes. do this at night before bed so your skin can calm down while you sleep. use a night time moisturizer and then go to sleep!

Re: Facials?

Thanks- I've never had one. The person who's going to do my makeup suggested I get one the week before the wedding but I want to get one soon to make sure I'm not going to breakout after it and look like an alien at the wedding!!

if you are going to start getting them, get one now. they are pricey but worth it. but you are smart to think ahead because they say never to get one the week before a big even JUST IN CASE and yes, you will probably be red and break out a bit, but that is normal. i say get one now professionally, ask for tips for doing one at home and try to do one at home every two weeks and then if all goes well, schedule one two weeks before. they hurt. it isn't a massage where you feel great afterwords. they squeeze and it hurts a lot. and they do require maintenance to see results however, they do make a difference. be prepared, too, to buy some more expensive skin care, b/c they will try to sell you stuff but chances are it is reallly good stuff and not the cvs stuff we usually buy. this is the time to really go out on yourself and try to treat yourself well.
