If I've never had a facial before is it best to hold off until after the wedding to get one incase I have a bad reaction?

Whatever you do, do NOT do it too close to the wedding because whether or not you have a bad reaction your face will take a beating. Facials are great, but you definitely do NOT come out glowing and looking amazing. Think red and blochy! Totally worth it, but it takes a day or two for your race to recover. HTH

The person doing my make up told me to get one three weeks before the wedding so that the make up will not look cakey.

Facials are great, but my skin takes about 1 week to recoveer. Microdermabrasion is better is you have sensitive skin.

I might go and get one as a birthday treat (my birhtday is in Sept) this way I know how my skin will react before I go get one for the wedding. I have super sensitive skin by the way. I can't even have my eyebrows done - wax or string - because my brows blow up like 10 times worse than the normal person.
