Facials

I have a question for those who have had facials before. I had one about a month before I got married and broke out the next day. The woman who did it said that I should expect that. Yet, I remember I had a facial about three years ago and it never happened. I would like to have another one before the summer is over and I'm not sure if I should go back to this woman. Is breaking out after a facial common? Thanks for the feedback.

sometimes you will breakout if the facial is truly detoxing your skin. It may take 3 - 4 facials & a decent follow-up routine for this to stop happening, that is why most people suggest a facial a few weeks before a big day!

I have never had one, but always heard not to have one before anything important because you will break out.

I have had 2 facials in my life. One in May and one last week. When I had the one in May done, I didn't break out at all. But after the one I had last week, I've been breaking out like crazy. And I rarely get pimples. And if I do, they're small ones, these have been big and painful I think it's a hit or miss.

A lot depends on the condition your skin is in now. You may break out - I wouldn't do it too close to any big occasions.

I had one the day before Dawns wedding, and I broke out really badly. However, after my skin cleared up, it looked great for weeks!

I had one a month ago, and did not break out. I think it also depends on what you get done. I was also told to make sure you go to someone who knows what they are dong.
