facials... question

I have heard you can break out badly from facials but I would like to get one or 2 before the wedding. How badly do you break out? Also how soon before the wedding do you suggest getting one?

Lastly, any reccomendations would be great... preferably suffolk county TIA

shauna... i have lots of makeup allergies and have gotten several facials without any problems. i would get a cleansing facial now, and if you have no problems, get the exact same one from the same place about two weeks before your wedding.

i go to st. tropez in port jeff and i highly recommend.

it really depends. sometimes it is b/c they open your pores and then you go out into the dirty air...but who knows

whatever you decide, dont do anything less than 2 weeks before your wedding

i remember you said you were using the dermologica brand. there is a place in the city with a woman i love. she is really great at what she does. even tho the place is a whatever/no-name place. let me know if you want details

i actually got a facial yesterday and no breakouts today! and i am always breaking out...
i would say try it out now and if you dont have a bad reaction to it then do it about 2-3 weeks before your wedding

Hey Shauna!!

I did one like a month ago and I have to say I didn't break out, but I got extractions done and those left a marks for about a week or so.

I would say get one now and see how it goes...the sooner you get it the better.

Lauren, I love St.Tropez it's the only place I have ever been for all spa treatments. That was my first thought and wanted to hear if anyone could reccomend others.

I go to a place in Levittown once a month for a facial and have had times when i break out right after. They explained to me that the deep cleansing facial that i get brings all of the impurities to the surface. You may not have a reaction, everyone is different.

The place i go to uses only dermalogical products. I go to Ulta salon and her name is ashley.

actually, i also highly recommend all the 'exhale' spas, too. mike's sister took me for a massage and facial at the one in palm beach, and i know there's one in the hamptons. they're amazing.

I did all my pre-wedding facials at Red Door and they were great. I sometimes break out, but after the facial, my skin is always at its best. I did my last one exactly two weeks before my wedding. One of my biggest wedding regrets was waxing my lip the same day. I had never done it before because I have blonde hair, but I did it to get rid of the little fuzz before the wedding and I broke out like crazy from that. So stear clear of waxing anything new, but the facial should be fine

Love St Tropez! I've never broken out from a facial. NP there!

From my last 3 experiences (these past 3 months) I don't think you would break out. My skin is actually much better and actuallu the best
