I am filling out the FAFSA form for next year, for my daughter....although I filled it out last year..I have no idea how I figured out 'Parent-Income Earned from Work'. I am getting conflicting answers on the internet.....anyone...please.....help!!!

Have you checked out the FASFA's web site? I believe there is an open chat that can help you while filling it out.
One thing is for sure, you want to be accurate here because it can really make a difference in your daughter's financial aid. Let alone cause a lot of headaches should she be pulled for verification. (I work in admissions at a college so I can tell you it happens)

Last year, I filed this out with no problem...but I think I did it wrong. Luckily, I was not pulled for verification.
We went to a FAFSA seminar when my daughter was still in HS, and I made a note that Income earned from work was calculated by taking the Gross Adjusted Income-what your 401K contribution was. I have no idea why I have that note, because I cant find anyting online to support that.

Don't quote me on this - but I belive it can be determined by adding up the income on all of your W2s.

If you call the financial aid office at your daughter's college, they can help.
