I actually found some nice ones on inspiredsilver.com. I'm really thinking about doing it - even if I just use it for the HM and for vacations I think it'll be worth it.

Sounds like a lot of hassle but I'd kill myself if I lost my ering or wedding band snorkeling or something. I don't even wear it in the shower...I'm paranoid about it being on my hand while I am handling water lol

I just have a fake wedding band that I wear when we go on vacation and I know I am going to do water sports. We went to Jamaica about 2 weeks ago and we did a catamaran cruise. They let you jump into the ocean midway and I totally forgot I had my e-ring and I was so paranoid I was going to lose it.
You are not nuts at all. I bought fake rings for a recent vacation we went on. I didn't feel safe with my real e ring on in the water or leaving it in a safe. So many people complimented my fake ring...they had no idea it wasn't real.
I was planning on getting a plan white gold band for when I didnt want to wear the real things...now you girls have me thinking about getting a replica hmmmmm
NOO you are not nuts!! A bunch of girls I know have done this... in Vegas on their bach parties or honeymoon. Mostly I think people have been wearing their wedding bands vs their engagement ring- but your so smart for thinking this way- bc if you go somewhere and people pinpoint you as a 'newlywed tourist' the first thing they will think of is easy targets! Also exactly what if your doing water sports and it falls off! G-D forbid!
I bought a fakie & wore it 2 weeks ago while I was on vacation in Fire Island. I did this b/c last year one of our vacation house mates lost his wedding ring and was heart broken. As of now it looks like we are taking our HM in the winter to Italy so there will be no beach or water sport action for us so, I probably will wear the real deal. If by chance our plans chance and we switch seasons or go to a tropical location, then I'm def wearing fakies.
