LOL...i thought I was only the only who did this. I got my 'fake' wedding ring set from overstock.com

Got an engagement ring, wedding band and wedding band for FH all for $40.00

No way, in fact, just about everyone I know who got married did this.....it's one less thing to worry about when you are away and relaxing. If you lose or damage the fake one, who cares? Right?

No way - I waited too long for the real thing to wear an imitation one. Life is too short to only use the 'good stuff' on special occasions.

It's not a matter of wearing good stuff on special occasions. I wear mine everyday and will wear it everyday when I get my wedding band too. I'm not risking losing or damaging two pieces of jewelry that are some people down payments for houses! lol I know that's how my friends felt too....guess it's a personal preference though.

What's the point of having real ones if you're going to wear fake ones?

You shouldn't let fear run your life. I agree that there are some times when you shouldn't wear your rings but why on your honeymoon and during travel?

IMO you're just as likely to lose them at home. Be proud of your rings and wear them. That's why they have insurance.

I disagree. I'm going to be at the beach the whole time, doing excursions or swimming.....I don't want sand and suntan stuff all on in/in it..that's just gross. For people who are going someplace that doesn't involve the beach, that's fine for them then. It has nothing to do with fear.....it is just common sense really.

I will always wear my real set, but on the very rare occasion that we go somewhere where they could be at risk I will wear the other set. I also don't have any insurance on my ring or wedding ring and like I said I will probably just wear the 'fake' one on a rare occasion.

I totally agree.

The insurance would cover me if a stone fell out.

I'd wear no rings on the beach before I'd wear a fake wedding ring...

That's just me though.

i wear my ring everywhere, it never leaves my finger
If the stone fell out, which i dont think it would, its in there pretty good, the insurance would cover it.

I think FH would look at me funny if i told him im getting a cubic to wear

I never thought about that, that might be a good idea
I guess i figured if something happens, thats what insurance is for

yeah that is what my FH looked like when I said it
Oh well i'm not too worried and their are safes in the all the rooms i'm staying in.

ah you're better off wearing it on the beach than putting it in a hotel safe, those safes are not very safe
