I'm thinking Australia & Fiji or Hawaii...not sure which would have better weather that time of year...

i wanted to the mexican rivera, but he was worried about hurricanes so we're going to italy.

We're going away to Newport, RI the weekend of the wedding for a quick getaway. Then, we both have to get back to work. We're going to the Bahamas next March to the Sandals resort.

I got engaged in Newport. I love it there!

Where would you recommend going to eat and do? We're going to do the cliff walk around the mansions, but not sure what else there is to do!

Cliff walk and the mansions were really great. Make sure you also do the drive down Ocean Ave? It was Ocean something and right where all the mansions are. It's a beautiful drive along the coast with goregeous houses. There's also a lot of cute shops right in town to just walk around too.

If you like steak you should go to Bowens 22 (that's where I got engaged). It was yummmmy. Other than that there are tons of places to eat and DRINK! You'll have no problems finding a place.

We went to Greece (Athens, Santorini, Crete, and Rhodes). It was absolutely gorgeous and the weather was perfect at that time of year.

Great!! I went through Tuscany a few years ago, then we stayed in Florence..I loved it there!! I am sooo jealous!!

We are hoping to go to Rome for a few days and then a cruise around Italy, Greece & Turkey!! Havent booked yet, though.

I went to Playa a few years ago and absolutely loved it! Thinking about returning there for our honeymoon - OR going to the south of France and Germany. Two completely different places, but Playa was so relaxing and charming - would love to go back. It's a great spot!

We're headig to Pueto Vallarta, Mexico!!!
And, we're staying at the Dreams resrort

We had hurricane fears, especially after this past hurricane season, so that's why we opted for the Mexican Pacific coast

We considered Hawaii, and Australia. We're not doing Hawaii because he has been there a few times, and we're not doing Australia because I was there for 3 weeks in 2005. Instead we are doing a cruise that starts and ends in Rome, and goes to Mykonos, Rhodes, Athens and Santorini, Greece, Istanbul, Constanta, Romania, the Ukraine, Kusadasi and Naples. Then we're spending a few extra days in Rome to see the city.

WE are nto sure yet becasue of this whole Hurricane season thing!! Thank yuo for starting this thread though! I need some suggestions!!

I was concerned becuase it is hurricane season, but I realized that it can't be the deciding factor in where I go. I figured if I get travel insurance and a hurricane comes, we'll just postpone it. Not too big of a deal to me. Plus you'll be able to tell like a week in advance. We are going to the Paradisus in Punta Cana. Can't wait!!!!
