I asked my photographer and she suggested 2 places. We are taking our e-pics Sunday October 30th and I want beautiful foliage background. I'm checking a lot of websites, but I see that Bayard Cutting Arboretum charges $100 just to take pictures. I don't know who would pay that fee, but we are already paying our photograhpher a lot of money and I don't want to spend a penny more just for location.
She suggested Caumsett Park, has anyone ever been there?
I don't want a beach or marina setting either. Some place with tons and tons of trees, maybe a bench, a little lake/pond area. The day of we are taking pictures @ Old Westbury Gardens so that's out for our e-pics.
Any suggestions where we don't have to pay a site fee will be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Re: Fall e-shoot locations
My photographer said I'd have to pay for permits. Any state park the fee is $100.
Im looking for places for the day of Oct 29th and of I use any state park it be $100 plus $75 for parking I have a party bus.
I would love to have my pics at Bayard but I wouldnt make it there in time. My wedding is over at 4 I'd have to be there by 430 and out by 6. No way I'd make it on time.
Where is Caumsett park?

Re: Fall e-shoot locations
we went to Fort Totten over by the Throggs Neck bridge. there is a marina and a beach but you dont have to use it. we took some great shots with foilage by the lake and gazebo and we took pics by the water, because were water people. we took ours on October 22nd of last year and the foilage shots came out great.
this is one of our pics by the lake you can see the foilage kind of.

Caumsett is beautiful, but are you sure you don't need a permit there, too?

For a fall theme I recommend Queens Country Farm Museum. In October I think they even have a corn maze there.

Caumsett is beautiful! Are you positive you don't need a permit?
We did our e-pics in Northport Village last November. They are in my album if you want to see

I'm not sure if you need a permit. My photographer mentioned it to me, I'll shoot her an email before I finalize it.

Yes I went there once to visit, we were actually looking for the wedding b/c you can rent the barn they have there. I think it would be really nice for a fall theme shoot. Do a search on here I remember seeing one e-shoot and 1 wedding taken there on this site.

Re: Fall e-shoot locations
We are doing ours on November 2nd. We are thinking Avalon Park in StonyBrook. I've seen some other girls epics from there and they're beautiful. Trees, benches, rocks, cool walkways, a bridge. Check it out!
