Fall theme - for Teri, debbus, and Michele31

I'm continuing this from the table naming post cause it was getting to be a pain in the neck scrolling down all the time! Michele, thanks for the maple syrup idea. It is so perfect. I was having a hard time with the fall theme idea until I was told about this board. Debbus, my BM dresses are from David's bridal and they're a cranberry color. I like the bright colors of fall, cranberry, yellow, orange, etc, so that's what the bouquets and centerpieces will be. Also, thank you so much for telling me about Burton's doing the flowers in pumpkins! I'll call them this weekend to have it changed-love the idea! Do you know if it costs any more than the regular flower stand they'd give you?

When i went for a quote they didn't say anything about an extra charge but, I was asking for the flowers to be low. If you asked for stands for height and paid extra for that the price might be less. That is if they admit the lower price they might just say it is the same $. I was warned about the fresh pumpkins...They told me since they are natural, the bottoms aren't always flat,(could wobble a little) that's why they told me about the ceramic. Didn't see them though, went with another florist.( & real pumpkins) Good luck.

You can also consider using the ceramic pumpkin that way you can take them home (and so can some of your guests). Just a thought. Also if you really love the pumpkin idea the ceramic shop that I take classes in, Claysmith Shop in Smithtown, can make you a large ceramic pumpkin with either your first names or last name in the mouth of the pumpkin. It would look really cute on the favor table or someplace in the reception site. Just a thought!

Thanks, Michele. Sounds like a cute idea. Maybe a place to hold all the matches I ordered!

Fall theme

Girls, all of your ideas sound great. Thanks! I am also trying to go with a fall theme or at least a subtle fall theme. I absolutely love the pumpkins as the centerpiece holders. Not sure if I will switch my centerpiece. I also like the table naming ideas. What other table naming ideas do you have that go with a fall theme? Besdies the maple syrup, what other favor ideas do you have? I think someone said cookies??? My bridesmaid dresses are a wine/maroon color. My flowers (centerpieces/ bouquets) will be fall colors (hopefully I can add the berries too). I would like to put scatter leaves on the tables and since my wedding is the weeked before Halloween, I am planning on using baby pumpkins as the place cards holders. I haven't got my invitations yet but maybe I can tie them in as well! keep the ideas coming. and thanks for sharing.

bridetobe

There is a thread that started earlier this week about table names. Debbus wrote a whole list of what she's naming her tables (she's doing a fall theme also). Good luck with your planning!

Fall theme

my best friend got married on halloween a few years ago, she found these little scarecrows somewhere like 3' tall and used them to hold the placecards, sorry don't have more info than that!
