Family dog put to sleep...

I know not everyone can understand this... but I feel like a sibling of mine has passed away... We just had to put our family dog to sleep after 14 years of having her around. It came on so suddenly, I feel like I didn't even have time to say goodbye. Sorry to sound depressing, I am just so sad...

I'm so sorry I put my cat to sleep 3 years ago and it was really hard. I still think about her all the time. Now I have two dogs and I can't even think about that day ever coming it makes me wanna cry.

Im sooooo sorry hunny. I know no matter what anyone says noone can say anything to make you feel bette.r As weird as this sounds you gotta just cry your eyes out and let it out. ALso no that you have a lot of people that understand what your going through and we are here for you anytime you need anything. I put my king charles spaniel down almost 3 years ago. He was only 3 but was really sick and they told us it would only get worse if we kept him alive. It still hurts when I think about him juat take it one day at a time. If you need to talk or vent or anything FM anytime

I'm so sorry to hear this. I completely understand how you must feel. I love my cat so much, sometimes I actually just start crying randomly if the thought passes my mind that some day he's not going to be here. Be strong...he isn't suffering anymore.

I know exactley how u feel I had to put my dog to sleep 3 and 1/2 years ago and we had her for 15 years.....I still have days that I am completely depressed or cry randomly....it is exactley like losing your sibling because they ARE a part of your family.....FM if you need to talk....I wish I could tell you it gets easier but it doesn't...

Aww I'm so sorry for the loss of your dog and family member! I know what it's like to lose a pet - such a close friend and part of the family - it hurts to see them go!

I am so sorry. I alway feel compassion for owners (I am a vet) when they put their beloved pet to sleep. My sympathy and condolences.

I am so sorry to hear this! Believe me, I fully understand how hurt you are... in January we had to put my dog to sleep also of 14 years. IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO DIFFICULT!! Many people do not understand how the loss of a 'pet' effects a person... I put pet in ' because as we know, pets really do become a family fixture like a human.

I still have my lil pookie on my cell ohones main screen and kiss it all the time- I am so sorry for you and your family

i am sooo sorry to hear this.. I completely understand....... I am very attached to all of the pets i've had throughout my life... they are part of the family.. not just an 'ANIMAL' as some people feel.....
