I know not everyone can understand this... but I feel like a sibling of mine has passed away... We just had to put our family dog to sleep after 14 years of having her around. It came on so suddenly, I feel like I didn't even have time to say goodbye. Sorry to sound depressing, I am just so sad...

I'm so sorry for you loss. I know exactly how you feel. We had to put our dog to sleep 2 years ago and he was 16 years old. They really become a family member and its just a terrible thing when they're not around anymore. I know you're hurting but I will tell you that time does make it much better. Just think of the good times you enjoyed and know that you're dog is in a better place now, over the rainbow bridge.

Oh no, I am so sorry for your loss...this made me tear up. We also have a great family dog and he is sooo old already and I am also so afraid of this day to come. It will be so difficult for me but especially for my parents, whose house will be completely empty after he is gone

I'm very sorry for your loss. I know how devastating it feels. I lost my little girl over the summer. It still hurts.

I am so sorry for your loss. We lost our 10 1/2 year old dog earlier this summer, so I can relate to your pain. Hang in there and try to remember all the love and happiness she brought into your life.

I am so sorry... I know what you are going through.. It is so hard to lose a pet, especially one you have had in your family for so long! I am really sorry for your loss....
