family -grrrr

There is really no point to this post except to vent.
Here's the story -
For MONTHS my mom has been wanting to go with my grandma (dads mom) to buy her a dress for the wedding. My grandma wouldn't let her (long story, my grandma's crazy). My aunt (Dad's sister) said she would take her, or my uncle (dad's brother who also lives down the street) would help to, also with getting my grandfather a suit.
SO fast forward to this past friday, 2 WEEKS before the wedding. No one has helped g-ma or g-pa get clothes for the wedding. They are all 'too busy.' So my parents have to drive to Yonkers on sat to get them clothes so that my grandparents don't show up to the wedding in pj's. Like they aren't busy two weeks before??
So the dress my g-ma got is too long and needs to be hemmed. They call my uncle to ask him (the one who lives down the street and oh he also doesn't work so sits around and does nothing all day) to take her for alterations - and he starts ranting and raving that he doesn't want to take her!! What the he!!

I hope someone takes her or she will be tripping all over her dress all day, my g-ma is short, only 4'10', but very heavy, so it was a pain in the a$$ to find her a dress.

Sorry so long, but felt good to rant a little!

Sorry to hear your family is being a PITA right before the wedding! Could a seamstress go to your Grandma's home to do the work there and just pay the extra fee?
