Family Vent
I have read many posts on this website about difficult family members and rude guests (I mean where do people get the nerve to write plus 1 or plus 2 on the reply card when no one else was invited!!!). I thought that this wouldn't happen to me because my FH and I are paying for the wedding ourselves. Boy, was I wrong.
First of all, I have family members inviting other family members to my engagement party, without checking with me! There are several people that I didn't want to invite to the engagement party because I don't know who I can afford to invite to the wedding. If someone is invited to the engagement party, they have to be invited to the wedding.
And I have other family members, who I generally have nothing to do with, telling me that I should rethink the day I chose b/c it is presidents week, others say that February is crazy, others don't like the fact that it is a late morning/afternoon wedding. Geez!!!! And I have only been engaged for 2 months. Can't wait to see whats next!![]()
