Fat Black Pussycat/ Village Underground

Has anyone been to one of these bars lately? If so, how is it on a Saturday night (crowd, music, service, etc). I've been to both but it has been ages and I'm thinking of going for my bach. party. TIA!!!!

i went to the flat black pussycat for a bachelorette and wanted to die lol, sorry but i hated it, i was in a smelly basment that i felt so claustrophobic in, i would definitiely never go back

I LOVE VIllage Underground. I haven't wait in like a year, and i love Sundays there because it's open mic.

I went one Friday or Sat and they had this band that they always have- forget the name- but it was good. I like the vibe of that place a lot.

I LOVED the village underground...i went a bunch when i was in college...haven't been there in a while though!

I have to agree with you. I am not a fan.

The fat black pussycat is the bar and lounge and the village underground is the basement where they have live music. I would advise against going on Saturday as it gets very crowded. You can arrange to use the lounge and they have their own private dj for that room.
