FATHER AND DAUGHTER DANCE (HELP PLEASE) A LITTLE LONG

MY FATHER IS VERY RELIGIOUS AND HE DOES NOT DANCE WHICH BRINGS UP THE QUESTION WHAT CAN I DO TO HAVE SIGNIFICANT MEANING INSTEAD OF DANCING. THE SONG I WANTED TO DANCE TO WITH HIM WAS BUTTERFLY KISSES. MY MOM GAVE ME AN IDEA AND IT WAS TO HAVE A SCREEN UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM SHOWING PICTURES OF ME GROWING UP T WHILE I SIT ON MY DADS LAP ON A CHAIR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR. WHILE WE ARE WATCHING THE PICTURES THE SONG BUTTERFLY KISSES WILL BE PLAYING. WHAT DO U GUYS THINK? IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO TELL ME. IF WORST CAME TO WORST IM SURE MY DAD WILL SET HIS BOUNDARIES ASIDE FOR MY WEDDING DAY. BUT JUST INCASE I NEED SOME IDEAS

See if he'll dance with you. Stress how important it is to you. I think the movie screen idea is a really great and moving one, and is actually better (for the guests) than the dance because it gives everyone something to look at and try to relate to. I always fel sort of awkward at weddings during all of those dnaces, because I guess you're supposed to be watching them dance, but it's a private moment, and I don't really want to intrude by staring at them. it's also a lot more interesting to look at photos. But you shouldn't try to make your guests happy, just you and your family. maybe plan on having both, and then work on your dad about the dancing. You can always dance with the movie screen as a backdrop. best of luck

i think the screen is a wonderful idea....instead of sitting on his lap, how about just standing next to him on the dance floor, maybe mom can stand up there too
