Father Daughter Dance...

I may have posted this before...but I am not sure so forgive me...

There are not many father daughter specifc songs that I like. There is a song by Journey (Faithfully) that my father really loves and I share in his passion for the group itself. The problem is that it is a love song between a man and a woman...Is this weird? How many people didnt do father daughter specific songs for that dance and how did it go over?

I think Faithfully is not really appropriate for a father-daughter song.
Definitely for a first dance song...
Is there something else by Journey? They have so many songs.

I agree...I think that song is way too intimate for a father daughter dance. How you looked at the songs listed on the planning section on this website?
How about something like 'My Girl' from the tempations (I think) or Brow Eyed Girl?

My Dad wants to dance to 'Time After Time' by Cindi Lauper......I don't really like that song, but he says he tears every time he hears it.
I think it's more of a lovers song! UG! AT least that's what the video reminds me of!

How about 'Amazed' by Paul McCartney?

Nice idea...I forgot about that one...So I guess I am torn between a nice song that he knows and likes but the lyrics are not neccessarily about fathers and daughters OR a song that is specifically about father and daugthers...I just dont know...what do most people do?

I only had a mother daughter dance but we used 'your song' by Elton John....
