I picked, but my dad agreed 100% - I've always been his 'Brown Eyed Girl.' One or two lines aren't really appropriate (since the song was more towards a love interest), but the DJ said he could fade out for a second or two during that one particular lyric.

We used ' I loved her first' by Heartland. My dads not a very emotional person, so I picked.

I think we will make a joint decision. Like, I'll run a few songs by him and whichever he doesn't think is cheesiest haha. I want to do 'I Loved Her First' by Heartland. It may be played out but it's so nice.

I picked the song Walk with You by Edwin McCain. My dad picked all these majorly sappy songs that were not me at all.

I think we will be going with 'My Wish' by Rascal Flats.
If I leave it up to Dad we won't be dancing at all because he hates to dance.

I also can't use 'I Loved Her First' because my birth-father will be there and he didn't earn the right to dance with me. Though it is important to me that he be there. I also don't want to throw in his face that he was never there by having a Daddy type song.

I had a hard time even finding the one I did because a lot of them pertain to the first 10 years of growing up and Dad wasn't there for that either. Mom didn't marry him until I was 10. They fit my uncles better and have the word dad, father, daddy in them.

I could use some help finding a really nice song to dance to with my uncles. They don't know this, and it won't be announced. I just want to find 2 special songs and pull them onto the dance floor with me.

i picked two songs and let my dad listen to them. i told him i know which one i like better and waited to see his favorite. the one that made him cry won ( t carter daddys little angel)

I picked..pretty sure he's never heard the song.. At least not yet.. But it perfectly describes our relationship and he always tells me 'You will always be my little girl' so we will be dancing to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw!
