I was thinking of doing the father-daughter dance at the same time as the son-mother dance....i would pick a meaningful song and just have the four of us on the floor at the same time. (at two opposite sides of the dance floor)
My FH thinks this would be a nice idea. What are your opinions on this?
Also, anyone know the timeline of the reception? I know we are announced, then we do our first dance....then do you go right into the father/daughter dance or does the party happen for a while and then they stop for the father/daughter dance???
This has been racking my brain for a while!

The father/daughter dance is usually after the cake.

I wanted to do this as well but my dad and MIL wanted to have their moment with us. So we did it individually...the dances come after cake cutting

i would throw the idea past your dad and see what he says... my dad wouldnt want that cause he gets 2 things that day - walking you down the aisle and his dance

I agree that you should ask the parents about their feelings. As far as songs go you could do something like What a Wonderful World because that's not specific to a relationship between 2 people

the dances are after the cake cutting but i have seen right after the bride and groom first dance in other states
