Father/Daughter...need opinion

my dad and I are not very sappy...and he is a toned down hippy/folk lover....I was thinking of doing 'how sweet itis' by James Taylor for our dance....is it going to be too fast? we should be able to dance to it right?

Re: Father/Daughter...need opinion

I think that you and your dad could dance to it. If you think that it might be to fast, maybe you can find a song that when you hear reminds you of your dad.

HOW ABOUT 'LANDSLIDE' BY STEVIE NICKS ...I'M ACTUALLY USING IT. IT'S A GREAT SONG WITHOUT BEING TOO 'SAPPY'.

Re: Father/Daughter...need opinion

I think you can dance to it. My SIL just used the way you look tonight by Frank Sinatra. Her father didn't want a song that was too emotional. The song was faster han most father/daughter dances but was really cute!

Re: Father/Daughter...need opinion

i think that song would be perfect... not too fast... i think those dances tend to go so slowly most of the time.

Re: Father/Daughter...need opinion

We used 'To Sir With Love' not sappy at all and it has a great beat. My dada was able to twirl me and we had a great time dancing to it.

Re: Father/Daughter...need opinion

I think its a great beat...you can dance together to anything...I had the same issue with my father...we used 'my girl', my sister is dancing to an opera finale with him...I could never do that!!
