Need ideas for my father and FH's father. My father is throwing the wedding so want to do something extra special. FFIL is tough because with his brain disease he can't do much anymore.
Any ideas?

Having a hard time with this as well. My parents do sooo much that I want to do something extra nice for them too. Maybe a gift card/voucher for a mini-vaca or towards a vacation spot you know they love.
Both of our parents hate when we spend money on them. I don't know if it is the same for you. If so, maybe a gift that you do not necessarily buy-but create for them. I don't know if you have the time but I made my mother a DVD of a photo montage of her and her life growing up for her 60th bday. She said it was the best gift she ever got!

ohh i know my parents are dying for a vacation as soon as the wedding is over!! maybe ill do a gift card to jet blue or something? but then that limits them to jet blue? hmm you got me thinking now!

My parents used their miles to pay for our honeymoon, so i think they would be insulted if we got them a trip.

parents we are buying them a new computer something small but good they need it and GM we are getting them ipod shuffles
my parents said they dont want a gift so i am thinking a nice frame for the wedding pics and an album

We are broke so both sets of parents are getting joint gifts. They say they don't want anything but they are getting something! FH paints so he actually bought canvases this weekend and is painting them pictures. This is perfect bc his mom has been asking him for one for a while now and my mom secretly asks me to ask him to make one for her too.. so they will love this.. plus its personal. FH is also going to finally paint me the two pictures I need to finish my dining room. finally!
GM we got them watches..

My parents paid for the entire reception, and most of the wedding. DH's parents paid for our DJ, CH musician, and gave us a very generous wedding gift that we used to pay for the wedding and other wedding related expenses. That said, we wanted to give both sets of parents something special. We got my dad a new Canon PowerShot Elph the 12 MP one in all black. He really needed a new camera. He loved it! I got my mom a full set of Kate Spade cosmetic bags (she asked for it) as well as a Kate Spade beach tote and matching cosmetic case. She loved it as well! We got MIL a Lenox Mother picture frame, and a Lenox bowl and pitcher. Got FIL a round of golf for two at Bethpage Black, and a nice lighter for his cigars. They all were so grateful. We gave out the gifts at the RD.
