Is there anyone not doing a Father/Daughter dance? I can't dance and don't have time to take lessons plus my father has never really been there for me most of my life so I would rather skip that part of the wedding. Is that really bad?

You do whatever you want.
As for the not dancing because you can't dance, I wouldn't make that the bigges reason not to do it. For my Sweet 16 my dad and I danced and the whole time he said we looked like Frankenstein. I reminded him of this recently and told him he better not say it this time!

Re: Father/Daughter Dance
i can understand not wanting to dance because you're not close to your dad, but because you don't really dance and don't have time for lessons seems a little odd to me (JMO). DH and i never dance, but we danced our first dance (newlywed sway all the way!), and i still danced w/ my dad, and he doesn't dance either.
but it is your day, if you don't want to dance, you dont' have to. i've been to weddings where there were not parent dances, that's up to you.

I will proudly be doing the newlywed sway, and also the father/daughter sway! But... if you don't want to do it then don't do it. It's your wedding, so do it YOUR way!
