Ok dont ask me why but my dad is set on us doing a waltz and i dont know why lol I DONT KNOW HOW TO!!!!!!!!!! lol, i am good at solo dancing but partner dancing i cant follow someone else hahahaha. FH showed me how to waltz quickly and seems easy but i dont know about doing this for father daughter dance but my dad has his heart set on it ...now to find a song that is meaningful but can do the waltz to this is not easy.
Does ANYBODY have any suggestions lol bc i can't think of anything. If i cant find anything at all then im going to have to tell my dad that its impossible but for some reason i feel bad telling him since he wants this the worst is i cant even practice with him now, i hate partner dancing maybe if i can lead but my dad wont let me

my dad wants to do a waltz too! I'll ask my dance instructor for a good father daughter waltz song and get back to you on it. In the mean time, practice with FH! This is an amazing website to learn the basics, hm it won't let me add the link so I'll just do it old school
ok, I know you watch the show too, so maybe you'll remember, on So You Think You Can Dance, the season where Benji won...his partner forever, Danyelle I think her name was (I forget)...she danced an AMAZING waltz, i think it was a viennese waltz if I remember correctly (she was wearing this lavendar gown if you remember), it was to You and Me by Lifehouse........it's not exactly father/daughter....but it is a beautiful song....and I remember thinking when they were dancing to it, wow, I never would have thought of this song to do a waltz too but it was soooo pretty.

I REMEMBER that performance hahaha i LOVE the show. I wont do it just like them hhahaha from what i remember the viennese waltz is harder hahaha but thank you ill listen now

aw, don't be afraid. How long did the doctors say until it heals? The waltz is very easy. You can learn the basic steps in a few days. For me it was hard because I really am not a dancer at all but you already feel comfortable on the dance floor, you'll be fine!

well until it fully heals its 6-8 weeks which is another thing i had to point out to my dad lol, but i should be better a bit before that. Yeah hopefully thank you, ive never been comfortable slow dancing my mom and fh laugh at me lol but i do have to say this did seem fairly easy. If i can practice the week of maybe that will be enough. Thank you

oh i found it, i looked at benji and danyelle but they did it to another song but i loved how they danced to it. The one with lifehouse was anya and danny, so yeah i guess you can take a nice slow song with that type of rhythm and do the waltz so it was very helpful thank you

hahaha....I was just going to post, woops, wrong couple...but it was still really nice. The waltz is just, 1,2, 3...1,2,3...1,2,3......soooo much harder to explain in written terms I know....but it's not hard to find that rhythm in alot of songs.

awww thank you...yeah thats why i feel bad saying no if it means alot to him i'll do it. I was first thinking of the celine dion song 'because you loved me' it goes well for a father daughter song. All the other wedding father daughter songs dont go well and although the celine song isnt a typical song for this it still goes. I am going to listen to it and see if it can be done to that song.

its ok lol when i checked they did so many waltz dances on that show so easy to get confused. Yeah did seem pretty easy, i got the steps down when fh showed me, just have to remember not to be nervous about it bc thats what makes you stiff so just have to go with it and be confident i guess hahahaha. Doesn't help that my dad is good at those type of dances and so is fh, at least if they werent that good it'd be easier for me
