Re: Favor
I am personally a fan of edible favors, preferrably chocolate. Almost everyone likes chocolate, and I personally dont need any more 'Stuff' in my house

The salt and pepper shakers are cute.
I'm a fan of edible favors also. Fh and I are planning to do personalized chocolate (M&M's, Kisses or hershey Mini's) & Personalized Hot Chocolate.

One person wants useful, the other wants cheap. I am losing my mind. Where should i look for the chocolate? FH doesn't like chocolate

Re: Favor
listen...you have to get what you like, thats whats important! Get something you would use you yourself. If other people wont use it, well...maybe they can give it away

Re: Favor
I think they're cute, but I think chocolate or some kind of food is nice. What about bride and groom cookies or chocolate covered stawberries? What about fudge? You can buy them all online!

Re: Favor
Truffle Trolley has chocolate truffles pretty cheap. They are like $1.60 for a box of two, come wrapped with a bow and everything. They are very good, I had ordered samples from them. Tons of flavors
didn't you say FH doesn't like chocolate? Why would you get it then?

Re: Favor
Because i'm running out of options. He won't be enjoying the favors. Everyone else will and I think edible favors are the best way to go

Re: Favor
they are cute. IMO most people rather jsut have edible favors, since most of them get tossed away. The only once people have told me they have used or even kept were coasters.

Re: Favor
everybody's different....I'm more of a fan of practical gifts. so i think the s&p shakers are absolutely adorable & people will actually use them...and when they do, they'll think of u guys...rather than eat ur edible favor and that be the end of it. We did personalized christmas ornaments and we got so many phonecalls this year saying 'we were putting up our tree & came across ur ornament so just wanted to say happy anniversary!' THAT to me is special..when people can look at a favor & remember u jmo - i do enjoy getting chocolates so please nobody get offended...this is just my opinion of what i myself prefer...anyways.. i will say those are expensive! i guess it depends on the amount of guests ur having - but that would've been a lot for my 225person guest list! pick something that YOU like...u can never please everyone so don't drive urself crazy with that side of the spectrum. back to the original question: i love the s&p shakers & think people will use them.. hope this helps??? lol.

Re: Favor
you should also consider your guests.. would they appreciate edible favors?? b/c i know that my guests would brush it off and not be happy with it..
and i agree, don't try to please everyone.. do what is economical for your family.. i think the s & p shakers are quite nice..

Re: Favor
FH wanted to do either the salt and pepper shakers or some LOVE coasters... we ended up doing wine bottle favors.
I like the ornament idea as well but I can't do that since most of my guests are Jewish and our wedding is nowhere near the holidays.
I have been going nuts thinking of a favor myself...I am having a winter wedding and thought maybe snowflake coasters but found another idea that I liked just recently. It's the scented reed diffusers. I use them at home so thought maybe its a good idea...here's the link. THey have a case of 48 for $104..about $2.16 each.
i like them and i'd use them (although like jtgarsik said they are a tad expensive if you're going to have a lot of guests) i'm actually not a fan of edible favors, dont know why but it's defnitely going to depend on your crowd and what their tastes are
