they are cute. IMO most people rather jsut have edible favors, since most of them get tossed away. The only once people have told me they have used or even kept were coasters.
we got a bottle opener that we still have. it's our only one.
my cousin as well as some friends of ours did bottles of wine that people loved--cousin did full-sized in organza bags and the other did mini-bottles tied w/ ribbon. one wedding i went to a few years ago had small tin pail filled with pouches of potting soil and flower seed, which i thought was really neat.
we did stemmed votive holders filled w/ gourmet chocolates that we bought in bulk from costco and wrapped each one with ivory tulle for our e-party. people were chasing us around w/ empty wrappers asking where they came from .

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I need to figure it out. I prefer edible since i don't keep favors but knowing my guests they will all complain if I don't give anything out. It's so annoying.

i think we will do something nice as a place-card holder (bottle of wine) or coaster/frame, and then instead of an actual favor we will do a donation.

We had a theme at our wedding faeries and woodland....
but I am now helping my niece plan her wedding and we saw these really pretty soap favors at a craft fair. The ones she liked best are simple rose buds in pastel colors. They really look pretty.

Hey Girls,
Thank you for all of your suggestions. We finally found a favor idea that suits everyone. We are doing elephant placecard holders and chocolate favors.
