Which would you prefer and find more usable? High quality embossed box or a tin container? I'll be storing chocolate in it as a favor.... The tin would have the red personalized label on the lid.

honestly, i would eat the chocolate and both boxes would probably end up in the trash... go with which ever is least expensive!

seriously? I was hoping guests would keep the box to hold trinkets in them... i'm big on making my favors useful and practical. :D

Then go with the tins. I would keep the tin over the box. I would end up throwing the box out. Sorry.

In that case, I would go with the tin because it looks to be more durable than the box

How about these boxes instead? :) Thicker and more durable...

I also agree. I 'might' keep the tin but I would definitevelly trash the box. In the end, I would trash both at some point (unless it is a close relative).
Get the cheapest version.
ETA: both look good in their own style.

either one would be cute ~ I am tossed with the same indecisiveness which one too use (I have similar ideas to yours) ~ I like the tins and the boxes ~ Both could be reusable... I think the tin the majority of the people would keep and reuse....personally I would probably keep the box and recycle... (I usually do that with nice bags and boxes & give to someone else for a present... )

I like the look of the boxes better than the tins, but I agree that people would end up keeping the tins over the boxes.

I think people are more likely to keep the tin than the box but, I probably would eat the chocolate and leave it behind.

i agree......whatever is les $$! More of a chance ppl will save the tin but i end up tossing it a few weeks later!

Ditto on the 'might'....it's such a wild card as to whether people keep any of the favors...ultimately I say go with the one you like the most.

I think for the look of the wedding, the box is better. For using after the wedding, the tin would probably be thrown in a junk drawer for paper clips and stuff. I would care more about the look of the wedding and how they were all set up on the table... those boxes with the ribbon would look BEAUTIFUL!!! Who cares what's done with them afterwards? The guests are just gonna love the chocolate!!!

I too would toss either of them - I have so many little boxes, I really have no use for another one. Half of mine just sit in my closet! And honestly, both look pretty for favors, but neither is really special enough that I would go 'oh, I have to keep this!' I don't think that for the price of a favor box you could really get something that nice.

I agree with the girls who say go with the cheaper option. They both look great- I love them, but in the end they will probaby both get thrown out. People might hold onto the tin a little longer, but probably not.
