I am not sure how this works. Do I give each person a favor or per-couple? I am not sure what I have received at other weddings so any idea on what to do would be great. Thanks!

I agree I am giving candy in a box. One box per person. The other more expensive favor (wine stoppers), will be one per couple and one per single person.

depends on what it is. If for example its salt and pepper shakers then that is one per couple bc you only need one per household. If its edible then one per person. If its something that a couple doesnt need more than 1 of then you give per couple and if someone is single then they have it for themselves. If its chocolate, wine, anything edible and even depending on something non-edible you might give then its per person

we r doing per person but both favors combined only can to $1 each so it was easy enough to do

As everyone else says it depends on the favor, anything that is material-solid like coasters, salt & pepper shakers would be one per couple, anything edible would be one per person

It depends on your favor. Some things like cookies and candy are meant for each person, things like dishes, wine things, etc. are per couple. I am doing it based per invitation. Bascically if who ever hands me a card should be getting a favor.

how do you distribute them? If its per person, you can put it on each place setting, but how do you distribute per couple? YOu can't be certain at a table where singles and where couples will sit ... I've actually been wondering about this lately now that I'm looking.. any suggestions?

ask your banquet manager about this one!
I am doing one per couple...when You do the seating charts, she gave us a sep piece of paper and I am instructing her where the favors go on the tables and how many....
you might be able to have them handed out at the end of the night if you feel more comfy...but def ask your banquet manager...mine was a great help on this!

we finally decided on our favors today, and we are now doing one per couple. they will be doubling as our placecards. (we are putting them in boxes, wrapping them and then having the placecard info on the tops)

depends on what you are giving. Like we are giving keychains that say'Key to My Heart' and bottle opener is a key. So we are giving the woman the keychain and the men the bottle opener.
