I wanted to give a larger favor per couple. How do you think I should go about doing that...
I already have place cards. I wanted to put the favor in between each plate, will they need name tags on them so its clear?
Is it cheesy to give favor per couple.

no, it's not cheesy to give one favor per couple. I am giving a bottle of wine per person, only becasuse we got a great deal on it and had to buy a certain amount of it!
You could do some sort of chocolate at each place setting.
We gave one per couple (bottle of wine) and it was fine...not cheesy at all.

Re: Favor per couple...favor per person
We were originally going to do one bottle per couple but because we're really under our minimum, we can actually give one per person now. Originally, what our plan was was to have the waitstaff bring over the bottles of wine after dinner (when a lot of the plates and other glasses have been cleared away). They would put the appropriate number of bottles on the table based on the numbers we'd given them. At that point, it would probably be obvious to the guests that if there are 10 guests per table and only 5 bottles of wine, that it's one per couple. You could also have them handed out by the staff as guests are leaving as well. Hope this helps

how did you place the favors for each couple? did you just leave, for example, 5 bottles on a 10 person table - or did you put tags on everything?

We are doing one per couple. The pie boxes are too large to put them on the table so I am going to have a favor table on the way out everyone can take a pie.
Hmmmm but how to let people know it is one per couple?

I want to know this too. I am doing a donation favor but we had a lot of left over lavender after making the toss holders, that I put them in sachets and have one for each couple or single. I am pretty sure the guys wouldn't even touch them but since they are going to be in a basket on the way out, how do you let them know?

On advice of the ladies here, I'm doing one frame with our donation note per couple. I'm also doing boxes of two truffles - one per person - left on each place-setting. Hopefully the table won't be too cramped that way.

We had them on a table and handed them out to guests as they came up to us or were leaving...it's 'tradition' to do it that way. In hindsight, I would have placed them on the tables and let them know it was one per couple or made inexpensive tabs and let the waitstaff hand them out. It was a pain to carry bottles around as we were greeting guests.

Re: Favor per couple...favor per person
i just met with the caterers, and they advised to leave them on the tables, i know i don't want to have to go back and forth to hand out favors...from what i've seen at past weddings most people know the 1 per coule rule....plus i want to partay on my wedding day!!

Re: Favor per couple...favor per person
We're doing one per person, but we only have 52 guests, so we decided we could afford it. I think that's why most people do one per couple. We're giving votive holders and candles.
