Since we are doing cookbooks, I was thinking of putting them in boxes w/a simple ribbon. My problem is I was planning on putting them next to every other place setting at the table(we are doing one favor per couple)...well we stopped by our RH yesterday and I dont think that idea will work, I don't think there will be enough room on the table. So now I'm not sure what to do, do you think it will be ok or should I have a separate favor table and hope that people don't go favor grab crazy??? T.I.A
i have the same issue. we are doing espresso sets and they are in big heart boxes...too big to leave on the tables. SOOo i am thinking of just setting them up on a side table for people to take on the way out. Mine will also be 1 per couple so I may just make a pretty sign in a frame that will read please take one per couple...or something to that effect. I will ask my doc her opinion....

I wonder if the hall can assign someone to the favor table at the end of the night to make sure people don't take more then one....hmmmm. I'm just nervous because I've been to weddings were it was like a free for all, people didn't even know what the favor was they just wanted a bunch!!

We really want to make our way to every table so when we do that we will hand out the favors one per couple, we are gonna put the names on it also so there is no confusion

Thats a nice idea. I was also thinking of putting them with the seating cards so that its clearly one per couple, but even the card table is tiny.....

We're doing photo albums and putting them in boxes and then putting the place card on top of that - this way there's no confusion.

Yeah I really like that option, maybe they have a bigger seating card table....The BM at HWC is gonna kill me I have a long list of questions to email her!!

i went to a wedding and the favors were set up on another table and them shaped all the boxes into a giant heart ,then everyone took one home..maybe u can try something like that

I totally see what you're worried about.
We're giving personalized bottles of wine and we don't want to place those on the tables that will be already crowded (not to mention they'll be bottles of wine from the RH on the tables already).
We've decided to place the favors on a separate table and either designate a family member to give them out to each couple or we will hand them out ourselves as we say our goodbyes. My only hope is that every couple will actually get a favor!
I'll have to tweak my idea a little bit, but I suppose placing them on a table and letting them pick them up themselves wouldnt be a horrible idea. I could just restock them as they dwindle down as the night ends.
If I were you I'd definitely put them on a separate table and either designate someone or give them out yourself. Or just leave them out for people to take.
Would it be tacky to have a sign that reads politely 'One favor per person/couple please'?
There is definitely a better way to say it....

I went to a wedding a brooklyn botanical gardens in June and after the cake the waiter handed each couple a favor.

OMG i was thinking the same thing. Since we have the same favors. Where to put them?? Maybe i can give them out as people leave??? Or would that be to annoying?? A table with a sign maybe better.

Yeah I dont want to be having a receiving line to say goodbye and hand them a favor on their way out....thats gonna be too involved. I think we'll wind up doing a sign on a table with the favors....
there is no way that we can pass them out...that is just not going to be possible! to much going on...plus you'll always have the few stragglers that leave early...i dont want to worry about it....I guess like i wrote earlier..i will talk to Lisa (doc) about it....
