FAVOR POLL!!! ETA: NOW W/ PIC
As some of you might have already seen I pretty much decided on my favor a few days ago. I am going to do cookie jars wrapped in tulle. I am attatching a heart shaped cookie cutter to the ribbon and possibly a recipe for sugar cookies. Now I don't know what to do so PLEASE help!

Re: POLL!!!
You can put the cookie cutter and recipe inside the jar so it doesn't look 'empty' and that will be just as easy!

Thats what I originally wanted to do but its a big 1 gallon cookie jar. I also think it will be more personalized the other ways but I dont know if I'll have time to do them!!
- Hey isnt that why we call them Bride's MAIDS ???

Re: POLL!!!
How many cookies would you really have to bake? If it's not going to take a week of baking, I really like the idea of having cookies already in there. Plus it will be fun hanging out with your BMs!If not, I like Julz's idea too.
ETA: ONE GALLON? Yikes!! That's alot of cookies per jar, isn't it? What about if you bake 1/4 of the amount of cookies necessary to fill the jar and then wrap those cookies in cellophane and ribbon and put them inside the jar that way so it fills the jar a little more, but without having to bake a million cookies?

Re: POLL!!!
I like the idea of baking the cookies but that would be really time consuming at a time when you wont really have much time to do that.....I also like the ingredients thing but that can be costly with gallon jars. How about inserting a large recipe card in the jar so its sort of sideways in there and takes up a lot of room? And you can put the cookie cutter in there too.

Re: POLL!!!
I bought a package of the pre-made sugar cookies last night. One pack makes 2 dozen. Soooo Im not sure if I put one package per cookie jar or 1 dozen per cookie jar
Might be cheaper if I buy the sugar cookie stuff from bjs ???
My fmil has 2 ovens in her house so I can do double the amount at once.

I think the jar with nothing inside is fine. BUT I got a cookie jar with the ingredients inside and the cookies were very yummy!!!! I invited the couple over to have the cookies I made with their jar of 'stuff'. It was an awesome favor...so that's my vote. Put the non-spoilable ingredients in.

i'd say leave the jars empty.. but put the cookie cutter in there and the recipe.maybe add more then one recipe. like a recipe for chocolate chip cookies and for peanut butter bars. just put a few recipes in there so it takes up more room and you can play with displaying them better.

If you don't feel like baking but still want to put cookies inside the jar, you should check out THE COOKIE OUTLET in Hicksville, NY.Here's their web page:http://www.cookieoutlet.com/
They bake the cookies fresh every day pretty much. You can call them for info. They are very helpful.
Good Luck!
