Favor Problem

Favor Problem

Ok so my eparty is coming up. It is in about a month! For my favors I was going to do a stemless wine glass with m&ms and hershey kisses inside. I was gonna do the m&ms in orange and pink (wedding colors) and hugs kisses. Then I was going to put some sort of netting around it and tie it with a pink or orange ribbon saying the date of my wedding.

PROBLEM!

I ordered the wine glass...120 of them! And they are waaaaaaaaaay too small. I thought 5.5oz was gonna be real small but mom and sister said no thats normal. These are so not normal. It would look cheap for us to give these out. Anyway, I can't order bigger ones because its gonna be way too expensive.

Now I need help! Any ideas for a cheap, cute favor? Its just the eparty! I was thinking of doing either candles or wine bottles for my wedding favors. But, at this point, lets just do the eparty favors because I have a year to figure something out for the wedding. I don't want to do candles for the eparty because my FH has some friends coming (male) who are not with a woman so a pretty candle would be stupid for them.

HELP!

DO you have a picture of it? Maybe theres something else you could do with it....attach a bag of the m&ms to the stem...

Its not a bag of m&ms....I was just gonna put them in the actual glass because its stemless

Its not much bigger than a shot glass lol

Maybe just put a votive in the glass...I know you said that you didnt want candles because of the guys but its a votive...not a fruity big candle hahaha...that way they get use out of both!

My thought at well. And if those guy friends of FH's aren't into them, they don't have to take one. Might as well get use out of them seeing that you have them.

Love love love Dollar Tree.

Can you return these glasses? If you can't I say just use them. Or get little bottles of booze and put them in the glasses and make them cordial glasses instead of wine glasses. Little 1oz bottles of Bailys would look cute in the glass.

I hope i can return them.....they are seriously too small for anything. like no one would use these and i would look cheap for giving them.

I would buy the mini bottles of alcohol and put it inside for the guys and use the candel for the girls.

Re: Favor Problem

We just had our engagement party and we combined centerpieces with the favors. Christmas Tree Shop has small 4' terracotta flower pots for 50 cents each. Then we went to home depot and got pink impatients for $1 each and potted them. We put 8 per table in a circle in the middle and every couple got to take one home. everyone LOVED it. last minute we found little plastic Thank You tags on ribbon at Party City so we stuck one in the dirt of each pot.

i know it doesnt solve your problem with the glasses, but if you can return them and have the time, its just another idea that comes to $1.50 each.

Do you have a picture of them, maybe you can make them into candle holders or candles. they have gel that you can put into things to make your own candle.
