Re: Favorite Classics!

The Count of Monte Cristo is THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have read it and re-read it and re-re-read it a million times and I still find stuff I didn't pick up the first time!

Re: Favorite Classics!

demetra, did you read the 'little housekeeper of a big mansion' by bernard shaw. I might have a title off b/c I am translating from russian, but something like that. I liked that book. It came to mind after you mentioned anna karenina.

Also, try 'Captain's Daughter' by Pushkin
'Crime and Punishment', and 'Brothers Karamazov' by Dostoevskiy.

From american books, I liked 1984 when I read it in HS
