Any suggested reading? I have read a Thinking Women's Guide to a Better Birth, A Working Mother's Guide book.

Re: Favorite parenting/prego books
I liked A Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy the best. I also liked certain parts of What to Expect and Your Pregnancy Week By Week, but both of those books also had parts I wasn't so crazy about.

What To Expect When You're Expecting was my play by play book while I was pregnant.

I like 'What to Expect' and aside from the internet, that's my main source of month-by-month info on whats going on. Even though Girlfriends Guide is so popular, I'm not too crazy about it.
Michele, you know that I'm also reading a couple of books on natural childbirth. I really like 'Childbirth without Fear' and 'Mind Over Labor'.

I liked the week to week guide. I read all the books from cover to cover in the beginning of my pregnancy then I turned to interactive books IE. Babycenter Which I LOVE for info.

I did read a Girlfriend's Guide and I thought it had some funny stuff and some interesting information. I know most doctors/midwifes hate What to Expect books. And I know my best friend is going to get me Misconceptions which I think we should all read by Noami Wolf. She was featured on that Oprah show so many people were talking about.

High marks for Misconceptions. My husband heard her on NPR and I bought the book and read it. Very enlightening. I asked my husband to read it before we try to get pregnant again. It's not much of a medical book, but it does talk about some of the more 'taboo' things about pregnancy. Like the fears, and how some people react to women after they become mothers, and the lack of social support etc. Very eye opening.
