Favorite vacation ever!

ok - I just saw an old post where people listed where they have been. This is kind of a spin off that one. I was wondering, where everyone has been on vacation? and out of those places, which was your favorite? Other posts people say where their favorite place is, but I guess I always wonder, where else are they comparing it to. You know? So, I'll start. I've been to:

Atlantis, Bahamas,
Grand Cayman
Bermuda
Cozumel
Jamaica
South Beach
Dominican Rep
Puerto Rico

My favorite was Grand Caymen. It was breathtaking. Cozumel was a lot of fun though

I LOVE to travel.....

Ireland (don't really count that as vacations though, it's more like going home to see family)

Austria (Vienna and Salzburg)
Germany

Spain
Ecuador
Canada (Toronto and Montreal)
38 out of the 50 states

Must say my favorite trips were driving cross-country and spending time in the 4 Corners region (NM, CO, UT and AZ) with the Navajo Native Americans and working with the third world poor in Ecuador.

Favorite out of those was definatly Amsterdame as far as Europe goes and St. Thomas for the Carribean.

Stayed in Rome for a month with trips to: Florence, Assisi, Ischia, Naples etc.

Sicily to see my family

Aruba with FH

Key West twice with FH

then a bunch of local trips ( connecticut, wildwood etc)

I can't really pick one favorite though. I love Sicily because my family is there. I love Aruba because of the relaxing tropical atmosphere. I love Key West because of the 24 hour drive down, its a great bar town, and FH and I get a whole big house on the water there. . . .

I am going to Aruba for my HM. But I still think Sicily is the most beautiful place on earth -but I dont want to get stuck visiting family on my HM and FH doesnt do too well on long plane rides. . . .

Spain (Paella was great in Madrid... The Matadors were cool to watch, but they actually kill the bull!)
London (I found it wasn't foreign enough...)
France (The Best and most Romantic!!)
Germany
St. Thomas
Canada - Toronto & Niagara Falls
Florida/Chicago/Washington, etc.
Dominican Republic (Punta Cana Resorts Rock!)

I would say, definitely Paris for Europe - the food, ambiance, and tourist spots were great and soo picturesque. I'm partial to the Dom. Republic for the Caribbean. We plan to tour Italy and Greece next year - any suggestions?

I have been to Aruba (Just for 1 day as it was a stop on a cruise) last Feb., but Turks I have been to for 7- nights. I went to Turks when I was single and stayed at a Club Med with a friend of mine. I have to say the place is breath taking. There was nothing like the water in Turks. We went out about 2-hours on a boat to go snorkeling and you could still see the coral and fish on the bottom of the ocean. It rained almost every day, but for 10 min. I went in Sept, but like I said this was about 7 years ago.

Aruba, from what I saw was AMAZING. So much to do, great shopping and Restaurants. Casino's and the most gorgeous beaches.

I think my favorite trip out of all of those was Disney!!

I'm not going to list them all but I will tell you that my favorite was a cruise to Bermuda with FH after we had been dating for a month and a half!
