We're doing heart shape bottle stoppers and I'm thinking of making wine charms with our initials to go with them.

Re: favors

we are giving out photo albums and small bags with conversation hearts in them with ribbon that says our names and the date......we are putting a pic of the two of us with a thank you sign as the first pic in each album

We are msot likely doing horseshoes. I still have to look into it.

I will put our names and wedidng date in the back and then attach with a ribbon a little saying on what it means to hang a horseshoe in your house. We might put a title like ' Lucky in Love' and tell how it bring sluck to hang a horseshoe above your door.

it somewhat follows the theme of our reception place- but I love it!

I'm making Hello Kitty shaped soaps and putting them in organza drawstring bags. (I have Hello Kitty theme if thats not already obvious!) I may put thank you tags on them too, not sure yet.

I wanted to do these bear soaps to go with my bear theme, but some of my friends I mentioned it to thought it wouldn't be a good gift idea. I thought it was different. Not sure now though.

I'm doing hand painted wine glasses. (I'm hand painting them myself).

The vases were $30 for a set of three but then I have to buy boxes to put them in. I think I am actually going to get them from a place called My Bompiennere (sp?) in Franklin Square then I buy the boxes and she wraps them and puts ribbon on them for free.

I love this idea!!!

We are doing shot glasses with our names and wedding date on the front, with double hearts, and the phrase 'Live well, laugh often, love much' on the back. That is, if they can all get here in one piece!! (51 out of 200 came broken or chipped, so they have to send us more. )

well flower1017: I may be biased but I say go w/ the soaps. IMO edible/usable favors are good! Not another item to collect dust and end up at a garage sale 5 yrs later.

We are doing placecard frames...one per couple. We are also doing hershey minatures chocolates...one per person. I got personalized labels with our names and the date on them from ebay...going to put them in a little ivory box and tie it closed with a red ribbon..also with our names and date on them.

I originally wanted to do that, but I was afraid people wouldn't know that was the favor.

Are you concerned about that or am I just crazy?

SReidy - Did you paint those glasses in the picture yourself? They are so pretty. I would love to do something like that but wouldn't know where to begin.
