Favors

I am having a hard time picking out favors. I am also unsure how much I should spend on favors. A lot of the weddings I've been to seem to have lenox, mikasa, favors.

How much are/did you spend per favor?

I am doing picture frames which were $1.45 per frame. As well I will be doing small white boxes filled w/ Orange Starbursts. Not sure what the cost on the candy will be, but the boxes were about 35 cents each.

We spent $8 per couple. We're doing a bottle of Pugliese wine in an organza bag, 2 lindt truffles in a vellum bag (that's also the place card) and jordan almonds in a clear box.

I didn't spend alot on favors.

I gave out mini-wine bottles that were about $3 each plus I also did 2 donations to 2 charities in honor of the guests. After the organza bags, other decorations, printing of the donation scrolls, etc I think I spent around $500 total on favors.

We are doing mini wine favors with personalized stickers.
It was $250.00 for 125 bottles of Sutter Home Merlot, the black and white stickers were included free, and its $100 for shipping. It averages out to less than $3.00 per couple

We are doing the CD's
We purchased a 100 Cd's and 100 Jewel cases from Office Max...we had a rebate and ended up getting it all for free.
The only thing I had to pay for was the Labels, and Ribbons to tie around the Jewel cases.

Just wanted to add that I have seen Lenox and Mikasa items in closeout stores like Jack's World so you can get them for much cheaper than their retail price.

I am using Lenox Christmas ornaments. THey were 4.98 a piece. But I got an additional 20% off at the time.

We are doing silver plated coffee scoops with candy in it, wrapped in tulle and tied with a printed ribbon. Total cost, about $3 each one. We are also putting 2-4 1/2lb bags of Starbucks on each table as an additional give-away item.

I donated to charity. It was the best decision I made with regard to my wedding.

Thanks ladies. I wanted to donate money to a charity, but the idea was knocked down by my mom and FH. Not a good combination to get ganged up by

We're giving everyone (150people) each a box of chocolate truffles (5 in each.) Costing about $3 per person.

I bought silver plated heart wine stoppers and it probably came to about 1.65 per person.

We are giving wine stoppers and mini bottles of wine. We got a good deal on both and are spending about $300 for everything. Oh yeah I forgot we order flower pedal holders for the Jordan Almonds!
