I have a good idea of a couple of things for favors...I was wondering on average how much most people spend per favor? Thanks in advance for your input. Nancy

I know you didn't ask for more ideas but I thought you might not hve heard this one. We are not doing favors- we are taking the money (b/t $3-$5 per guest) that we would spend on favors and donating it to the National ALS foundation and the American Heart Association. We are going to put little cards at everyone's plate and tell them that the money had been donated and why. If there is or was someone in your lifes that you have lost or is battling a disease- you could donate the money. Good luck!

Favors-
I tried posting this before...hmmmm. Anyway, we`re making dontations like Jillian. Ours will go to the AHA and ADF in memory of both of our fathers. We`re donating $250 to each organization so that will be about $4 per guest. Good luck!!

We are doing the same...both my father and my fiance are police officers and we are donating to the Widows and Orphans fund(for the families of police officers killed on the job).i was wondering what an appropraite amount would be, and $3-$5 seems like a good amount.

I love the idea of donating $$ to foundations. However, I already have our favors ordered. They are little trees. But I would also like to donate $$ to Alzheimers. My grandma suffers from this disease. How would I go about saying something at the reception, even though I already ordered my favors. Maybe they can cancel my order. Are you ladies who donated making a little sign? Thanks

Favors-Donation Notification
We are doing small boxes of chocolates and may also do a donation to the Natl Kidney foundation (my FI had a kidney transplant). I am thinking about adding a card to the chocolate boxes that informs our guests of the donation, but I haven't decided on the wording. Details Details Details!

We`re making scrolls...
We haven`t decided yet if we`ll do one for each table or a small one for each place setting... It will say something like: In loving memory of our fathers, Bride`s Dad and Groom`s Dad We have made donations to The American Heart Association and The American Diabetes Foundation In our guests` names or In honor of our guests or In lieu of favors The exact wording is a work in process! Suggestions welcome!

Favors Ideas
Hi- We haver called the National ALS Foundation and the American Heart Association and told them our idea and asked if they had any pre-printed info for us. Both places said they did not- but they have had a lot of requests like that recently. We decieded that we are going to print out little cards and out them at each plate (like a favor would be)that say something like: In lew of wedding favors we have donated the money to the National ALS Association in Memory of Jillian's brother Steven Portocarrero and the American Heart Association for continued research. (my fi's dad had a stroke a few years back) We are also going to try (if we can find the time) and attach the ribbions that signify concern for both organizations. Please let us know if anyone has seen this done before.... Thanks!!

What we did- donation favor LONG
we had table card boxes filled with truffles that were put out the same way table card are and tehn on each setting we had jordan almonds/tulle personalize ribbon taht whole deal with a donation card attacehd-- I made them from business card stock and on one side they said A donation has been made to XYZ for the lvoe of Jane our name and date --this was done in a pretty font with the ribbon centered on the top nad almond/netting fell behind it-- so it kind of sat on the plate and then on teh back of the card I put info about XYZ (it was to something that most people dont know about ) with contact info and a short description LauraWelcome New Vendors
