I would love to have my favors be something per couple but I don't have any idea what I want. Does anyone have any suggestions???? I would love to cross favors off my things to do list.

I'm pretty sure we're doing a donation favor. I see too many people not even bring the favors home from a wedding and if they do, it's usually not something they use. (Just my experience, though I've also gotten some great favors)
If you want to do a more traditional favor, though, go with something edible that people will actually use. My cousin got boxes of chocolate covered pretzels and they were amazing. They came in white boxes and she tied them with a bow matching her colors. You could also do personalized hersey bars, chocolate lolliops or something like that. You could also do a bottle of wine with a personalized label per couple.
Another thing to keep in mind... While so many brides love having their names and wedding date on everything, not all of your guests are going to want to keep something for years in their house that has your names and wedding date on it. So, if you go for a shot glass favor, for example, don't have your names / date put on it. Maybe fill it with candy (you can get m&ms with your name on them) and wrap them nicely instead.
I will say, though, that my mom still uses the heart-shaped coffee scoop she got as a favor at my cousin's wedding... (I'll also add that I don't even know what happened to mine or if I remembered to bring it home!)

I'm doing letter openers and personalized mini chocolates The letter opener isn't personalized so this way people don't have to be uncomfortable with it.

we got wine charms and wine bottle stopper and had the hall give them out so each couple would get one of each. You can also do bottles of wine

What about the lenox spoon rest...has anyone used or seen this one?
We're ordering glass christmas balls in red with a gold snowflake design and our names and the date of our wedding....we're going with a xmas theme since it's in December.
